The Jane K. Boorstein Endowment for Community Conversations
The Jane K. Boorstein Endowment for Community Conversations honors Jane’s lifelong work to empower local people to create change in their own communities.
LOWO projects in the field:
Our partnership with the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction remains strong and we plan to train more communities in Asia and Africa to participate in LOWO-style facilitated conversations.
This strategic fund will support:
Scholarships at Teachers College
at Columbia University:
We will support students who are interested in studying the LOWO model of community conversations as a driver of social change.
Further partnerships:
We are working to create partnerships with other organizations that do similar work in order to spread Jane’s vision to a greater number of people.
