The Jane K. Boorstein Endowment for Community Conversations honors Jane’s lifelong work to empower local people to create change in their own communities.
This strategic fund will support:
LOWO Projects in the Field: Our partnership with the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction remains strong, and we plan to train more communities in Asia and Africa to participate in LOWO-style facilitated conversations.
Scholarships at Teachers College, Columbia University:
We will support students interested in studying the LOWO model of community conversations as a driver of social change.Further Partnerships: We are working to create partnerships with other organizations that do similar work to spread Jane’s vision to a greater number of people.
